About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join an expanding department offering provisions from entry level to level 3. The Construction department has grown significantly over recent years with the focus on embedding the key LSIF priorities into the curriculum whilst showcasing our excellent facilities.

We are looking for somebody to lead the department, to ensure that the curriculum, facilities, workforce and vision are industrially relevant, up-to-date and future focused to ensure the department remains at the forefront of delivering area leading education, training and skills in the North-East's key industry sectors.

About the candidate

To meet our expectations, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, innovative individual who strives for excellence at all times; demonstrating a breadth of knowledge and experience from both industry and education to inform pedagogy and curriculum development in line with current and future reform.

With strong leadership skills and excellent subject knowledge of all aspects within Construction, the Head of Department will become an instrumental part of the success for the department within the college.
